CHINA, December 19, 2017 – Durion GmbH is pleased to announce that the signing ceremony for the construction of 100MW photovoltaic plant in Mahan, Iran took place yesterday in China at Harcan Engineering Co Ltd. headquarters.
The contract was signed by Mr. Chaozong Ruan, CEO of Harcan Engineering Co Ltd. and Mr. Uwe Kuhnle, CEO of Durion GmbH, in presence of the Mr. Shouhe Wang, General Manager of China Nuclear Engineering and Construction Corporation Ltd. The investor of the project, Harcan Engineering Co Ltd. is a subsidiary of China Nuclear Engineering and Construction Corporation Ltd, the leading company in China for nuclear power plants, but also a leading company in renewable energy plants worldwide.
The 100MW plant, which will be established close to the already finished 20MW photovoltaic plant launched earlier this year in Iran is developed by Durion GmbH, the engineering, procurement and construction company for this project. The whole engineering was already conducted by Durion and the procurement and construction are to be made. In August 2017 the civil works started at the site and in March 2018 it is scheduled the construction of the steel structure.
For this plant, a substation to the National Iranian grid will be built by Durion and more than 500 local workers, led by 25 German engineers and foremen, will install around 350.000 pv panels and connect the whole 100 MW to the Iranian grid within 2018. The total investment for this project is 140 million USD. This investment is guaranteed by the Iranian government. This project is another breakthrough on the Iranian renewable energy market and another milestone in the business development of Durion GmbH.
